A Tribute

This is a tribute to dead cat I saw the other day. Thought I would try to get some humor out of it. (This is not the cat I saw)

Harry Potter

Old and young alike have heard of the mythical adventures of the wizard Harry Potter. Others though have heard about it and want to ban the book, I'm talking to you Mr. Pope. Yes that's right the Pope has stated even before he became the Pope that the Harry Potter series destroys young Christians by thinking about spells and wizardry. This is a children's book, it should not be viewed as a devil book that corrupts little minds. The pope should not as worried about a book as they should of video games. I am not however taking a new position on video games but kids can learn bad words from video games. But a book written for kids and the movies about them are PG so obviously they are ok for kids of all ages. Stop your whining and enjoy life Mr. Pope because you know what they say, being the Pope is the fastest way to heaven. Good luck. More controversy when the book comes out...

Not A Spectacular Asset

By now most people have heard about the recent NASA "failures". The second newest mission involved crashing a satellite into a meteorite to find more about space. So far the results of this mission has resulted in finding that meteorites are made of rock ice and gases. Too bad we already knew that about meteorites. The newest mission that NASA has conducted was scheduled to take off yesterday but due to a fuel issue (a system said it was out of gas when it was full) the flight was postponed to later, no one know when yet but it has to leave before the end of the month. This has something to do with the weather conditions for the launch. The future for NASA is unknown, with all of these failures and pointless experiments what will come next. I'll tell you, they are planning "another" launch to the moon that should prove that we did go there back in the 1970's. Sounds to me like another trip to a soundstage...

Tonight We Feast

As I was driving back to my house the other day, I saw a sign advertising for McDonald's. On this huge billboard it said in big letters with the biggest cheeseburger behind it, it said "Tonight we feast". Now first of all the American population is too much overweight. Haven't you seen "Super Size Me"? That meal would be enough to feed a 3rd world country (you get my point). To get an idea how much bigger the American meal is compared to other countries here's a list. First of all you never get enough to take home a doggie bag. You never are asked to Super Size a meal. And lastly our smallest soft drink is not as big as the largest drink in France (but than again most of the French woman are anorexic). Our eating issues are one of the reasons why other countries hate us and does McDonald's care? No. They advertise how much overweight fat Americans eat on a daily basis where a lot more of the world hardly eats that in a day. To prove another point when I asked the foreign exchange student, Heiko, what the world thinks what a typical American meal is. You will never guess. First he said there wasn't one then he said fast food. News Flash for America, get ride of fast food, replace with healthier foods and get some original food ideas. START THE BOYCOTT!

Poverty

Now before I state an opinion about this let it be known that THIS IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD WORK, I DO WISH THAT POVERTY IS STOPPED but I am taking a HORRIBLE STATEMENT about a "plus" (maybe) on poverty. Once again do not bitch at me about how "this is how I really feel" because it is not. To me this is just an interesting way to think about poverty such as in Africa. In the world around 815 million die each year due to poverty i.e. lack of food. Now people try to stop this from happening WHICH IS A GOOD THING but if people did nothing about this the poverty level would go up and more people are likely to die. What good can come from this, well nothing, but my point is that if this happened, that it is possible that since the population is so high MAYBE population issues wouldn't be such a good deal due to the rate of death with poverty issues. Just to make sure you people get that I do support helping rid poverty is better than having them starve and that they're are ways to control the population. But since I am on this, it does bother me that the Live 8 concerts which included lots of big named musicians didn't raise money, but awareness. Seriously I don't see why people didn't donate money from the concerts. And the worst part of it is that the performers got gifts from performing, they're millionaires why do they need more stuff, if they wanted the stuff they could just buy it, but nooooo. I am done now ranting about this topic and no doubt you will either make a post saying how cruel I am even with all of the warnings or just do it to annoy me, whatever just piss off.
